The Peruvian government has extended its State of National Emergency and updated its COVID-related entry requirements.

Key Points:

  • Peruvians, residents and nonresident foreigners who are 12 or older must have proof that they received the last applicable does of an approved COVID-19 vaccine to enter country.
  • Travelers over the age of 18 who live in Peru must have proof that they have received the third “booster” dose of a COVID-19 vaccinated to enter the country.
  • Individuals who do not have proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 must have a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours before departure to enter Peru.

Additional Information: Peruvian authorities have extended the country’s State of National Emergency for an additional 30 days from April 1. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from the vaccination and testing requirements; they must not have COVID-related symptoms when traveling to Peru to enter the country.
