The French government has lifted COVID-19 border restrictions for all travelers.

Key Points:

  • As of Aug. 1, COVID-19 entry rules no longer apply to those traveling to the country, regardless of the traveler’s departure country.
  • Travelers are no longer required to complete a health form before or after arrival in France or have a COVID-19 health pass to enter the country.
  • Travelers no longer need proof of a “compelling reason” to enter the country.
  • Travelers are no longer required to have a sworn statement of non-exposure or a commitment to take a COVID-10 test or examination upon arrival.

Additional Information: In case of new virus variant, an “emergency brake” can be applied to the lifting of entry requirements. More information regarding France’s health rules and advice for traveling to the country is available here.
