COVID-19: Entry requirements eased

The Brazilian government has eased its COVID-19 entry requirements for fully vaccinated travelers.

Key Points:

• As of April 1, fully vaccinated Brazilian and foreign nationals can enter the country if they have proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before departure.
  • Proof of vaccination can be a physical or electronic document and must show that the individual was vaccinated 14 days before departure.
• Brazilian nationals and foreign nationals who regularly live in Brazil may  now enter the country without being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Those who are not fully vaccinated and who are eligible to enter the country must have proof of a negative antigen or PCR test taken within one day before departure to enter the country.

Additional Information: Proof of previous recovery from COVID-19 will not be accepted as a means to enter the country. Travelers who are unable to receive the COVID-19 vaccine due to medical reasons are exempt from the vaccination requirement and can enter the country by completing this form.
