Australia | Online support service launched for expired visas

Australia’s Department of Home Affairs announced the launch of a new online support service to resolve immigration status for individuals in Australia with expired visas.

Key Points:

  • Eligible individuals can now request a confidential appointment with a Status Resolution Officer through a new online booking form.
  • Status Resolution Officers, who are separate from the Australian Border Force, are available to provide a safe, voluntary way for people to resolve their immigration status.
  • This service is for individuals in Australia whose visa has expired or who have a Bridging Visa E, which lets you stay lawfully in the country while finalizing an immigration matter or making arrangements to leave.
