The French government has moved the U.S. to its red list, increasing entry and quarantine requirements for all travelers from the U.S..

Key Points:

  • Red-list travelers, regardless of vaccination status, must:
    • Undergo a ten-day quarantine upon arrival.
    • Provide proof of a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 48 hours of departure.
  • Travelers must additionally provide:
    • A sworn statement certifying the individual does not have any COVID-19 symptoms or has come into recent contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
    • A sworn statement that the individual will take an additional PCR or antigen test upon arrival.
    • A sworn statement that the individual will quarantine upon arrival and take a PCR test at the end of the quarantine period.
  • Individuals traveling from the U.S. who are not fully vaccinated must have a compelling reason to enter France. Those who are fully vaccinated do not need a compelling reason to enter but must follow the protocols listed above.
