The French government has announced that it will further restrict travel from the U.K. beginning Dec. 18.

Key Points:

  • To enter France on or after Dec. 18 from the U.K., all travelers over the age of 11 must:
    • Have a compelling reason for travel; tourism and business travel do not qualify as a compelling reason.
    • Have proof of a negative PCR test or antigen test taken within 24 hours of departure.
    • Register on the éOS-COVID digital platform before departure.
    • Quarantine upon arrival for seven days; quarantines can be waived after 48 hours if an additional negative PCR or antigen test is taken.
  • Travelers must also provide:
    • A sworn statement certifying the individual does not have any COVID-19 symptoms or has come into recent contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
    • A sworn statement that the individual will take an additional PCR or antigen test upon arrival.
    • A sworn statement that the individual will quarantine for seven days upon arrival and take a PCR test at the end of the quarantine period.
