Immigration News - Global mobility, Asia-Pacific, India India | India’s e-Arrival Card system launches Oct. 1 Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) September 30, 2025 The Indian government announced it will launch a digital e-Arrival Card system for all foreign nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders arriving by air, effective Oct. 1, 2025. Key Points: An e-Arrival Card must be completed by all foreign nationals and OCI cardholders entering India for tourism, business, study, medical treatment, employment, research or conferences. The card must be submitted online within 72 hours prior to arrival. Applicants are required to provide full name, nationality, passport number, date of arrival, purpose of visit, countries visited in the previous six days, Indian address, contact details and emergency contact information. Indian nationals are exempt from the e-Arrival Card requirement. Additional Information: India’s Union Home Ministry expects the e-Arrival Card system to streamline immigration processes by eliminating physical disembarkation cards, reducing delays and improving efficiency at airports.
