Key takeaways: The new C1 salary benchmarks released in August 2026 apply to: New Employment Pass (EP) applications from Jan. 1, 2027 EP renewals expiring from July 1, 2027 EP candidates need to meet eligibility requirements and pass the points-based COMPASS framework. To earn points under the C1 salary criteria, a candidate’s fixed monthly salary must meet or exceed the 65th percentile of salaries for local professionals, managers, executives and technicians in the employer’s sector.
