Immigration News - France COVID-19: U.S., Canada added to list of “green” countries Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) June 18, 2021 IMPACT – HIGH France has lifted restrictions on travel from the United States and Canada, adding the two countries to its list of “green” countries. Key Points: Individuals traveling from “green” countries who show proof of an EMA-approved vaccination are allowed to enter France for any reason and are exempt from testing and quarantine requirements. Non-vaccinated travelers from “green” countries are permitted entry for any reason and are exempt from quarantine, but must show a negative PCR test completed within 72 hours of departure. The countries now on the green list are Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, the United States and all European Area countries. Additional Information: France implemented a color-coded system to regulate the reopening of its borders earlier this month. Officials made adjustments to the color-code lists this week. Afghanistan, Maldives and Paraguay were added to the “red” list and Turkey was moved from “red” to “orange.” Please click here for more information on France’s current travel restrictions. BAL Analysis: The change will significantly ease procedures for travel from Canada and the United States, especially for vaccinated travelers. The response to the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop, and BAL will provide additional updates as information becomes available. This alert has been provided by BAL.
