Taiwanese authorities have announced that they are shortening the COVID-19 quarantine requirement.

Key Points:

  • Beginning June 15, travelers arriving in Taiwan must undergo a three-day quarantine at home or in a quarantine hotel. Those who are entering Taiwan before June 15 must still quarantine for seven-days.
  • Travelers will be required to complete self-health management for an additional four days after the mandatory quarantine ends.
  • Those entering Taiwan must complete the online health form within 48 hours before departure, have proof of a negative PCR test taken within two days before their scheduled flight and take a PCR test upon arrival.
  • Individuals can leave to work or buy necessities after the fourth day of mandatory quarantine if they have proof of a negative rapid test.

Additional Information: Family members who are traveling together can quarantine together in their home, a relative’s residence, or in the same room at a quarantine hotel when available. More information regarding Taiwan’s COVID-19 entry requirements is available here.
