Key Points: As previously reported, passport holders from Australia, Canada and the United States will soon be required to apply for an eVisa to enter Brazil and will no longer qualify for visa-free status. Brazilian officials announced that the new visa requirement will go into effect on April 10, 2025. The previous effective date was April 10, 2024, which was postponed from the original Jan. 10, 2024, implementation date. Additional Information: The eVisa application process can be completed on this website. Nationals from these three countries do not need to apply for the new eVisa if they already have a valid physical visa. BAL Analysis: Government officials advise applying for an eVisa for any upcoming travel as soon as possible to avoid travel disruptions that may occur.
