IMPACT – MEDIUM

Argentina is now requiring anyone entering or departing the country to fill out a health declaration form 48 hours before travel.

Key Points:

  • The mandatory health form is a sworn legal document. It must be filled out in addition to complying with the mandatory 14 day quarantine after entering Argentina. Travelers must also make any COVID-19 like symptoms known to health officials. Failure to do so could result in prison time.
  • Minors, people with disabilities and those unable to fill out the form themselves must have a parent or legal guardian complete the form.
  • People over 70-years-old have are not required to fill out the form.
  • Airline/cargo crews are exempt from the mandatory form.

Analysis & Comments: Employers should be sure that anyone traveling to Argentina completes the required form within 48 hours of travel. Please check Deloitte’s COVID-19 Digital Map, available here, for information on travel restrictions and immigration changes in other countries.
