The Chilean Ministry of Health has announced that non-resident foreigners are able to travel to the country if they have a mobility pass.
Key Points:
Additional Information: Chilean citizens and foreign residents who do not have a valid mobility pass must quarantine for seven days upon arrival. Those with valid mobility passes must carry out a mandatory five-day quarantine. Transit hotels are no longer required in order to perform the five- or seven-day quarantine. Travelers may only enter and exit only the country through airports in Iquique, Antofagasta and Santiago. Foreign minors are exempt from the aforementioned mobility pass requirement.
BAL Analysis: The reopening of Chile’s borders will benefit companies throughout the world conducting business in Chile; travelers must make sure they follow the entry procedures described above. The response to the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop, and BAL will provide additional updates as information becomes available.
