Kate Dhar

Kate is an Associate in the BAL’s Denver office, where she advises clients on nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. From work product to communication, clients expect high quality and responsiveness. Her family’s personal immigration journey translates to the passionate and dedicated service she provides to clients.

Prior to joining BAL, Kate worked for several immigration law firms advising in-house counsel, human resources and global mobility professionals. She has guided corporations in the finance, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, information technology, retail and fashion industries, along with top-tier research and educational institutions, the athletics field and the third-party placement IT consulting and staffing industry.

Kate has spoken at various industry and peer-related conferences on immigration topics as a panelist and faculty member. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, serving in leadership roles as a board member and as executive vice chair for her local chapter. Kate has also provided pro bono immigration assistance nationwide. She was recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in immigration law for 2024. In 2020 and 2021, she was recognized by Super Lawyers Rising Stars.

Kate is a certified yoga instructor with a dedicated Ashtanga yoga practice.
