Julie is an Associate in BAL’s Boston office. She works on all aspects of employment-based immigration, including nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. In addition, Julie preps foreign nationals for interviews at Consular offices or with CBP and helps create legal strategy on how to best approach certain cases. She has courtroom experience as well as experience with family petitions, adjustment of status and asylum applications. Before joining BAL, Julie worked at a boutique immigration law firm in the Boston area. While studying at Suffolk University Law School, she served as a student attorney in the Human Rights and Indigenous People’s Clinic and as the vice president of the Latin American Student Association. Julie is a first-generation Salvadoran-Cape Verdean American with a passion for immigration and a commitment to service. She enjoys true crime podcasts, spending time with family and learning about diverse cultures.
