Bernardo Martinez

Associate // Houston

“Immigrating to the U.S. is no easy feat. However, the immigrant disposition is daring and never gives up in pursuit of achieving the American dream. I consider it an honor and a privilege to assist those courageous enough to take the leap.”

Bernardo is an Associate at BAL in Houston, focusing on nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. He aids businesses and foreign national employees before the Department of Labor, Department of State and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. His expertise covers PERM, H-1B, L-1 and O-1A visas, as well as employment- and family-based green cards.

During law school, Bernardo co-founded the Immigration Law Student Association (ILSA) to promote awareness of immigration law and careers within the field. He was also a student attorney with the Judge Elmo B. Hunter Legal Center for Victims of Crimes Against Women Clinic, where he provided representation to survivors of gender-based harms. He joined BAL shortly after law school.

Bernardo is an avid fan of Premier League and UEFA Champions League soccer. He also enjoys listening to pop culture podcasts while walking his two dogs.
