Pilot program allows e-filing for Alien Resident Certificates

Taiwanese authorities have launched its pilot program allowing certain individuals to submit Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) applications online.

Key Points:

• As of July 1, foreign nationals who have received a work permit from the Ministry of Labor can file an online ARC application for themselves and their family.
• Taiwanese authorities will review online ARC applications within five business days.

Additional Information: Taiwanese authorities plan to expand online filing for ARCs to those who received work permits from the Ministry of Education and other authorities if the pilot program is successful.
