Internal reorganization in the French labor office that services the Paris district is expected to cause delays in work permit processing. What does the change mean? The change is expected to affect applications that are currently pending, as well as those that are filed in the next few weeks. Applicants should leave an extra two to four weeks in their timelines to account for the delays. Implementation time frame:Immediate and ongoing. Visas/permits affected:Work permits. Who is affected:Employers and foreign nationals seeking work authorization in the Paris district. Impact on processing times: Processing times were recently averaging between five and seven weeks but are expected to be delayed an additional two to four weeks. Background: The internal change is only affecting the labor office in District 75, which serves Paris. Other labor offices in France are not experiencing delays at this point.
