Immigration News - Oman COVID-19: Travel ban lifted for all countries, vaccination required Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) September 1, 2021 IMPACT – MEDIUM The Omani government recently announced that it would lift its ban on all arrivals on Sept. 1. Key Points: Beginning Sept. 1, all Omani citizens, resident visa holders and visitors will be allowed to enter Oman regardless of their departure country and without prior approval. All travelers over the age of 18 must be fully vaccinated to enter the country. Travelers must present a medical certificate with QR code proving they received the last applicable dose of the vaccine 14 days before entering the country. Travelers will be exempt from the quarantine if they provide a negative PCR test conducted with 96 hours of departure if their flights are longer than eight hours. Travelers on flights that are less than eight hours will be exempt from the quarantine if they provide a negative PCR test conducted within 72 hours of departure. Additional Information: Before traveling to Oman, all travelers must pre-register with the Tarassud+ application and upload the vaccine certificate and PCR test result, both including QR codes. Travelers have the option to take the PCR test upon arrival in Oman.
