Immigration processing delays expected Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) April 13, 2022 The Italian immigration authority has announced that it will be operating at a reduced capacity in the coming weeks. Key Points: From April 22 until May 10, companies will not be able to submit work permit applications, and individuals will not be able to submit family clearance applications for permit conversion due to the release of a new immigration website. During this time, immigration offices may not be operating at full capacity; those in need of immigration services should expect processing delays. Time-sensitive applications should be filed as soon as possible to mitigate delays. BAL Analysis: Employers and employees are encouraged to plan ahead and file time-sensitive applications as soon as possible to avoid possible processing delays. Individuals should contact Italian authorities for more information regarding what services may be delayed at local offices. This alert has been provided by the BAL Global Practice group.
