Key takeaways: Effective Oct. 5, 2026, OWP registrants will now receive 10 points under the updated scoring factor if: They earned $80,000 or more in a single year within the past five years Their earnings are verified by a Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment According to the announcement, the updated points allocation has been applied to all existing Expressions of Interests in the system. Current registrants are not required to make any changes or log into the OINP e-Filing Portal to have their scores updated. This alert has been provided by the BAL Global Practice Group.
