COVID-19: International air travel resumes, entry for foreign nationals

International travel to El Salvador has resumed, with the airport reopening on Sept. 19.

Key Points:

• Permanent residents and foreign nationals must show their airlines a negative PCR test result issued within 72 hours of departure before they can board their flight.
• Crew members, diplomats and children ages 2 and under are exempt from this requirement.
• There is no quarantine required if the COVID-19 test results are negative.
