Key Points: Foreign nationals applying for work authorization under transitory permanence can now receive work authorization for up to 90 days. Previously, Chilean authorities only issued the special work permits for tourists for up to 30 days. Additional Information: Foreign nationals traveling as tourists in Chile are not allowed to conduct business activities. Individuals who must conduct business activities while traveling as a tourist in Chile must apply for a work authorization under transitory permanence. BAL Analysis: Chilean authorities have extended the validity of work authorization under transitory permanence to decrease the number of extension applications.
