The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently announced that it would extend and re-designate Syria for Temporary Protected States (TPS) for 18 months, from Oct. 1, 2022, through March 31, 2024.
Key Points:
Additional Information: The decision to extend TPS for Syrian nationals was made due to ongoing armed conflict and extraordinary and temporary conditions in Syria that prevent individuals from safely returning, DHS said. The extension and re-designation permits additional eligible Syrian nationals to apply or re-apply for TPS and EADs. BAL will provide additional information as it becomes available.
