The government has implemented temporary travel restrictions to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Key Points:

  • Visa issuance for all foreign nationals is suspended until April 30.
  • Visa exemptions are also suspended until April 30.
  • All international commercial flights are barred from landing in Myanmar until April 13.

Additional information: Relief flights, cargo flights, medical evacuation flights, and special flights specifically approved by the Department of Civil Aviation are excluded from the flight suspension. Entry visa exceptions exist for airline/ship crew members, though they may face quarantine measures if they have stopped anywhere before arriving in Myanmar.
