IMPACT — MEDIUM

The Japanese government relocated its fast-track entry services to its immigration website.

Key Points:

  • As of Nov. 1, foreign nationals must use the Visit Japan website instead of the MySOS mobile application to register for Japan’s fast-track entry services to expedite COVID-related entry processes.
  • Foreign nationals can complete the “Quarantine,” “Immigration” and “Customs Declaration” portions of immigration services through Visit Japan.
  • Foreign nationals entering Japan before Nov. 13 can continue to use MySOS if they completed fast-track registration before Nov. 1.
  • More information on how to register for fast-track services through Visit Japan is available here.

Additional Information: Japanese nationals are exempt from Japan’s COVID-19 immigration restrictions. More information regarding Japan’s COVID-19 entry requirements and procedures for travelers from specific countries and regions is available here.
