Chinese and Indian eNTRI visa applicants must apply at least 2 days in advance

What is the change? Chinese and Indian nationals applying for electronic eNTRI (tourist) visas must submit their online application at least 48 hours before their departure date.
What does the change mean? Affected travelers should not wait until the last minute to apply and should not expect to obtain an eNTRI visa in less than two days.
- Implementation time frame: Immediate.
- Visas/permits affected: eNTRI visas.
- Who is affected: Chinese and Indian nationals visiting Malaysia as tourists.
- Business impact: Family members of expatriate employees who may be using the eNTRI visa to visit Malaysia should be aware of the longer processing time.
Background: eNTRI visas allow certain nationals to apply online for tourist visas. Applicants must also provide proof of their round-trip ticket and itinerary. The announcement on the extended processing times only applies to Chinese and Indian nationals.
BAL Analysis: To avoid having to postpone travel dates, affected travelers should apply as early as possible and no later than two days before their scheduled departure date.
