IMPACT — MEDIUM
The Chilean government has extended the validity of special work permits for tourists.
Key Points:
Additional Information: Foreign nationals traveling as tourists in Chile are not allowed to conduct business activities. Individuals who must conduct business activities while traveling as a tourist in Chile must apply for a work authorization under transitory permanence.
BAL Analysis: Chilean authorities have extended the validity of work authorization under transitory permanence to decrease the number of extension applications. Chilean authorities may increase the associated fees to account for the decreased number of extension applications.
