Key points: Individuals seeking services at U.S. missions in Venezuela should prepare for suspension in services. It will become clearer which services, if any, will remain available once the U.S. State Department releases an official statement. Background: Maduro’s announcement came hours after President Donald Trump officially recognized opposition leader Juan Guaido as Venezuela’s president.
