The Brazilian government has announced that it will begin issuing new versions of the National Identity Card (CIN) and Brazilian passport.

Additional Information: Individuals will be able to obtain a digital CIN free of charge through the gov.br application after receiving a physical copy. The new CIN will include a QR code to help authorities authenticate identities and prevent fraudulent activities. BAL Analysis: The Brazilian government has introduced new identity cards and passports to increase security for its citizens and help authorities more easily verify the authenticity of its identification documents.
