How to apply for the Trump Gold Card

1. An individual or corporate sponsor must submit an application with a non-refundable processing fee. Corporate sponsors may apply for multiple employees at once.

2. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will vet the potential card holder through an in-depth background check, ensuring the individual is eligible for lawful permanent resident status and admissible to the United States.

3. Once approved, an individual must pay a $1 million donation, and a corporate sponsor must pay a $2 million donation to receive the Trump Gold Card.

The Trump Gold Card provides an applicant with lawful permanent resident status, similar to an EB-1 or EB-2 visa holder. Benefits include the ability to live and work permanently in the United States.

What are the benefits of the Trump Corporate Gold Card?

The Trump Corporate Gold Card enables businesses to sponsor employees for lawful permanent residence in the U.S. A benefit of the Trump Corporate Gold Card is that the corporate sponsor can transfer access to another eligible employee (after vetting) by paying a transfer fee, but without requiring an additional $2 million donation.

Why does the Trump Gold Card require a donation?

The $1 million donation by individual applicants and $2 million donation by corporate sponsors are intended to “demonstrate their ability and desire to advance the interests of the United States by voluntarily providing a significant financial gift to the Nation.” In other words, the donations provide evidence that the individual or employee will substantially benefit the U.S.

How are the Trump Gold Card donations used by the U.S.?

The U.S. Secretary of Commerce will deposit donations from Trump Gold Card applicants in a separate fund in the Department of the Treasury and use them to promote commerce and American industry, consistent with the statutory authorities of the Department of Commerce.

Are there any additional costs or fees for applying for the Trump Gold Card?

The Trump Gold Card requires a nonrefundable application processing fee and a $1 million donation to the nation. The Trump Corporate Gold Card requires a nonrefundable application processing fee per employee listed in the application, a $2 million donation to the nation and a small annual maintenance fee. If a business transfers sponsorship to another employee, a transfer fee will also be required.
