IMPACT – MEDIUM
The Japanese government has extended the validity of certain COVID-19 certificates of eligibility (COEs).
Key Points:
Additional Information: Foreign nationals intending to enter Japan through a work, general or specified visa must hold a valid COE. More information regarding Japan’s extension of certain COEs is available here.
BAL Analysis: Japanese authorities extended the validities of certain COEs because many foreign nationals have not been able to enter the country due to COVID-19 entry restrictions. The response to the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop, and BAL will provide additional updates as information becomes available.
