What is the change? The government has banned residents of, and travelers from, mainland China, from entering or transiting through Indonesia.
What does the change mean? Residents of mainland China, as well as foreign nationals who have spent 14 days in mainland China, may not enter or transit through Indonesia at this time.
Analysis & Comments: The government has suspended visa exemptions and stopped issuing visas to residents of mainland China. It is also not allowing foreign nationals who have spent 14 days in mainland China to enter or transit through Indonesia. Moreover, the travel ban includes suspension of direct flights to and from mainland China, and the government is advising Indonesian citizens not to travel to mainland China. Employers should expect significant mobility delays for employees and business visitors coming from mainland China.
