Steve Ladik

Steve serves as Of Counsel in BAL’s Dallas office and is part of BAL’s Sports and Entertainment group. His practice focuses on helping a variety of professional athletes, teams and sports leagues from across the globe secure visas to compete in the United States.

Steve has over 42 years of corporate immigration experience assisting businesses and individuals with developing and implementing successful immigration strategies. Prior to joining BAL, Steve evolved and managed a reputable private practice in sports immigration, providing immigration-related counsel to teams and athletes in tennis, golf, soccer, squash, basketball, baseball, figure skating, hockey, football and track and field. From 2011 to 2013, he spearheaded a comprehensive immigration strategy to secure visas for hundreds of personnel participating in the America’s Cup sailing events.

Steve is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and served as the president of AILA from 2001 to 2002, among other AILA committees throughout the years. He has been continuously recognized as a top immigration lawyer by leading industry publications, including Chambers and Partners and Best Lawyers.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys raising bees, chickens and vegetables as well as fly-fishing with his spouse.
