Lisa is an Associate and Head of BAL’s Japan practice group, serving as a dedicated advocate for Japanese corporations navigating the U.S. immigration system. Bilingual in English and Japanese, she brings cultural fluency and legal expertise to every client relationship — a combination that has made her a trusted resource for Japanese multinational corporations and investors expanding their presence in the United States.

Lisa advises corporate clients on a wide array of employment-based immigration matters, drawing on deep knowledge of both immigrant and nonimmigrant visas. With over 10 years of experience serving Japanese clients, she has developed a nuanced understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by Japanese businesses operating across borders.

Prior to joining BAL, she worked at a boutique immigration firm where she built her foundation advising Japanese and multinational corporations, startups and investors on complex U.S. immigration matters.

A passionate champion of U.S.-Japan relations, Lisa is an associate leader with the U.S.-Japan Council and a mentor for the nonprofit Japanese Career Women. She is an active member of the Dallas Japanese Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Lisa’s work sits at the intersection of law, culture and diplomacy, reflecting her deep personal and professional commitment to strengthening the bond between Japan and the United States.
