Karin is a Staff Attorney in BAL’s Dallas office. She works on all aspects of employment-based immigration, including nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. Prior to BAL, Karin practiced litigation with a focus on medical malpractice, personal injury and wrongful death matters, where she handled all phases of case development, discovery, motion practice and client communications. During law school, she gained experience in the federal judiciary and immigration law through internships with the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the Executive Office for Immigration Review. Karin also served as a legal extern with the asylum and human rights practice at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where she assisted in representing vulnerable individuals seeking humanitarian relief. Outside of work, Karin enjoys photography, classical concerts and traveling. She loves exploring new places and experiencing different cultures, both internationally and within the United States. Karin is also actively involved in serving at her church, where she enjoys mentoring, organizing community events and serving people experiencing homelessness. As the daughter of Egyptian immigrants, she values faith, family and service, and she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.
