Diego Alvarez Lorant

Diego is a Staff Attorney in BAL’s Dallas office, where he works on employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visa matters for corporate clients in the technology industry. He has experience encompassing a broad range of case types, including H-1B, E, TN, O-1, L, EB-5 and EB-1A.

Prior to joining BAL, Diego gained experience in family-based immigration and removal defense as well as employment-based immigration through a variety of roles. He worked as a legal assistant at a small immigration law firm in Seattle, handling family-based immigration and removal defense matters. After relocating to Texas, Diego worked as a paralegal at a labor and employment law firm, focusing on business immigration. Following law school, he worked in New York City as a law clerk and later as an associate attorney before returning to Texas to continue his corporate immigration practice.

Outside of work, Diego enjoys reading, going to the movies and spending time with family. He also enjoys playing music, including classical guitar and the bagpipes.
