Isabel is an Associate in BAL’s Dallas office. She advises multinational corporations on complex employment-based immigration matters, including strategic planning for permanent and temporary international workforce transfers. Isabel is experienced in preparing and securing U.S. nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, including H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, O-1, EB-1 and EB-2 national interest waiver filings.

Isabel has over a decade of experience in U.S. immigration law, advising multinational corporations, midsized companies, startups and individuals across a broad range of employment- and family-based immigration matters. Her practice focuses on representing corporate clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of State. Isabel regularly drafts and reviews complex audit responses and strategic responses to requests for evidence and notices of intent to deny. She also manages client relationships, supervises teams of paralegals for high-volume clients and simplifies immigration concepts to present to clients.

Prior to joining BAL, Isabel practiced immigration law at a global multi-practice law firm, two global professional services firms in Canada and a boutique immigration law firm in Houston. She has represented corporate and individual clients in family- and employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions, naturalization, asylum, Temporary Protected Status, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, U visa, Violence Against Women Act petitions, Adam Walsh waivers, criminal issues, inadmissibility waivers and removal defense proceedings. She has experience working with immigration courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Administrative Appeals Office and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Isabel is a current member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and previously served as an AILA Canada Chapter Liaison to the U.S. Consulate in Toronto.
