Alex is an Associate in BAL’s New York office, overseeing various employment-based immigration matters and supporting clients and their employees through the immigration process. He is experienced in filing various nonimmigrant visa petitions, including O-1A, O-1B, L-1A, L-1B, H-1B, TN, E-1, E-2, E-3, J-1, R-1 and Blanket L. He also handles immigrant petitions, such as EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-1C, EB-2 PERM, EB-2 national interests waivers, EB-3 PERM and adjustment of status. Alex previously worked at BAL as a staff attorney, handling writing-heavy case types, consular/blanket calls as well as case assessments for new hires. He also has experience in filing EB-1/EB-2 national interest waivers, requests for evidence and PERM cases from working at a global immigration law firm. Prior to law school, Alex was a legal assistant for a midsized firm in Chicago. Alex was born in the Philippines but grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He studied in Chicago and Washington, D.C., before starting his legal career in New York. Alex has a passion for helping others relocate to the U.S. for work, since many people in his life have lived similar experiences. Outside of work, he enjoys baking, traveling, concerts and spending time with his adorable dog, Choco.
