Visa fees waived for applicants from certain countries

The Zambian government recently waived visa fees for nationals of certain countries.

Key Points:

• As of Nov. 1, nationals of 42 countries — including Australia, Canada, China, European Union countries, the United Kingdom and the United States — no longer have to pay fees when applying for a Zambian entry visa.
• Other visa requirements, including the need to apply for a visa before traveling or obtain a visa upon arrival (if available), remain in place.

BAL Analysis: Zambian authorities exempted nationals of certain countries from paying visa fees to reduce entry barriers for those traveling to the country. The full list of countries exempt from the visa fee is available here.
