TPS validity extended for six countries Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) September 9, 2021 The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is set to publish a Federal Register notice that extends Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for beneficiaries from El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua and Sudan. Key Points: DHS is automatically extending the validity of TPS-related documentation from Oct. 4, 2021, until Dec. 31. 2022, for beneficiaries under TPS designations for the following countries: El Salvador. Haiti. Honduras. Nepal. Nicaragua. Sudan. The documentation that be extended includes Employment Authorization Documents (EADs), Notices of Action documents (Form I-797) and Arrival/Departure Records (Form I-94). Additional Information: Under Haiti’s most recent TPS designation, eligible individuals must apply before the registration period closes on Feb. 3, 2023. Individuals who do not register for the new TPS designation during the registration period may not be allowed to file a late initial registration application. DHS is automatically extending the validity of TPS for beneficiaries from the aforementioned countries in order to comply with court orders in of three ongoing cases.
