The U.S. Embassy in Kabul has suspended consular services and canceled visa appointments amid the Taliban’s takeover of the Afghan capital.
Key Points:
BAL Analysis: The State Department says the security situation in Afghanistan “continues to change quickly,” including at the airport in Kabul. U.S. citizens in Afghanistan are encouraged to monitor the State Department’s Travel Advisories and U.S. Embassy website. BAL will continue to follow the situation in Afghanistan and will provide updates on important immigration and travel developments as information becomes available.
