Key Points: The remote-work visa, announced in March 2021, allows foreign nationals employed outside the UAE to live and work in the UAE for a one-year period. The new guidelines require foreign nationals to submit proof of earning a monthly salary of no less than US$3,500 or the equivalent in local currency. Foreign nationals must provide evidence that they work for an entity outside the UAE and that the work is being done remotely. Foreign nationals can apply for a remote-work visa through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security’s public services platform.
