Foreign nationals must register on the e-Devlet (e-Government) website portal to obtain certain documents, including address registration, as the Populations Registry will no longer issue address registration confirmations in person. What does the change mean? Employees must register for the account in person at a local post office. Implementation time frame: Immediate and ongoing. Documents affected: Up-to-date versions of the address registration documents, which need to be issued after an initial application. Who is affected: Foreign nationals submitting address registration information for residence card renewal applications. Next steps: The process of obtaining an e-Devlet (e-Government) password can only be completed in person at Turkish post offices. To receive a password, applicants must present a government-issued document showing their Foreign ID number on a work permit or residence permit. Additional information: Foreign nationals may also log into the e-Devlet (e-Government) system to gain access to the some of the following government-related information and documents: Address registration information (not applicable to initial work permit applications). Police and court background. Social Security records. Retirement information. Tax records. Property ownership information. Educational degree information.
