COVID-19: Restrictions lifted on arrivals from China’s Hubei province

South Korea recently lifted restrictions on arrivals from China’s Hubei Province.

Key points:

• Effective Aug. 10, South Korea lifted restrictions on arrivals from Hubei province in China. Virus cases have eased there and China has relaxed entry bans for South Koreans.
• The Chinese Embassy and consulates in South Korea began issuing visas to South Korean citizens to allow them to work or study in China the first week of August.

Analysis & Comments: The relaxing of travel restrictions is good news for employers in Hubei province who wish to send their employees to South Korea.
