Key Points: The decree, published in El Peruano Official Gazette, amends the Migration Law to allow foreign nationals who work subordinately for a company outside Peru to apply for a resident visa. The new visa is valid for up to one year and can be extended. The visa does not allow foreign nationals to develop activities that earn income from a Peruvian source. BAL Analysis: Eligibility requirements have not yet been published. The digital nomad visa will provide a new immigration pathway for remote workers aimed at attracting greater foreign investment and talent.
