Immigration News - Peru COVID-19: State of emergency extended, entry requirements updated Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) June 21, 2022 The Peruvian government has extended its State of National Emergency and updated its COVID-19 entry requirements. Key Points: Peruvian nationals and foreign residents who are 18 or older must have proof that they have received a third “booster” dose of a COVID-19 vaccinated to enter the country. Travelers who are between the ages of 12 and 17 must have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination. Nonresident foreigners must have proof that they are considered fully vaccinated in their home country to enter Peru. Individuals who do not have proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 must have a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours before departure to enter Peru. Additional Information: Peruvian authorities have extended the country’s State of National Emergency until June 30. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from the vaccination and testing requirements; they must not have COVID-related symptoms when traveling to Peru to enter the country.
