Netherlands | 2026 salary thresholds

The Netherlands published new salary thresholds for highly skilled migrants, intracompany transfers, Blue Card holders and recent graduates, effective Jan. 1, 2026.

Key Points:

• The following salary thresholds will apply in 2026:
  • 5,942 euros (about US$6,966) for highly skilled migrants and intracompany transferees, 30 years old and above
  • 4,357 euros (about US$5,108) for highly skilled migrants and intracompany transferees under 30 years old
  • 3,122 euros (about US$3,660) for foreign nationals who have recently graduated in the Netherlands or from a prestigious university abroad
  • 5,942 euros (about US$6,966) for Blue Card holders
  • 4,754 euros (about US$5,573) for Blue Card holders who obtained a higher education diploma no more than three years prior to application
• Salary thresholds represent the minimum gross salary per month and are adjusted annually.
• All applications received by the government after Dec. 31, 2025, will need to meet the new thresholds.
