Japanese authorities announced tuberculosis (TB) screening will be mandatory for nationals of certain countries who intend to enter for a medium- to long-term stay.

Additional Information: For nationals of Nepal and the Philippines, the TB screening requirement is scheduled to begin on March 24. Testing for Vietnamese nationals is expected to start on May 26. The commencement date for China, Indonesia and Myanmar has not yet been scheduled. More information on obtaining the TB certificate and testing instructions can be found here.
