The Japanese government has lifted COVID-19 entry restrictions for travelers from more than 100 countries.

Key Points:

  • As of April 8, individuals traveling for business or education purposes from 106 countries, including Brazil, Canada, the U.S. and most European countries, can now apply to enter Japan.
  • A full list of the 106 countries exempt from Japan’s COVID-19 entry restrictions for those traveling for business or education is available here.
  • As of April 10, the daily international arrival cap was increased from 7,000 to 10,000 entries per day.

Additional Information: Foreign tourists remain barred from traveling to Japan. More information regarding Japan’s current border measures is available here.
